We believe global education fosters empathy, perspective, and a more connected world.
We are on a mission to expand access to global education – one transfer pathway at a time.
To normalize international transfer as a legitimate and accessible pathway for community college students, supported by shared standards, institutional trust, and infrastructure.
The Transfer Abroad Network (TAN) is a platform designed to connect U.S. community college students with international universities to save them money and time while earning a bachelor's degree.
At its core, TAN brings us all together as a community to help students access opportunities to finish their degree abroad.
There are over 1000 community colleges across the United States, enrolling just under 10 million students. Eight in ten community college students want to transfer to complete a full degree after earning an associate's degree, and yet there is little known about how this process works at overseas universities, where you can save up to $100,000 on your education thanks to lower tuition, cost of living, and shorter degrees.
We exist to show students and community colleges that overseas transfer is for anyone who wants it!
Transfer Abroad Network was founded by two close friends and colleagues who came together through a shared love of international education and student access. Every single day they get to do what they love the most, and are grateful for the wonderful supporters who have joined this community to make the network work!

Ashley Warmington is a higher education professional and social impact entrepreneur with deep experience spanning U.S. community colleges, international universities, and global student mobility. She graduated from the University of Aberdeen in Scotland before beginning her career in educational access. She has worked in international student recruitment, major gifts fundraising, and international engagement, supporting global access, scholarships, and institutional partnerships across the U.S. and UK.
Ashley's commitment to widening access is deeply personal. Having navigated barriers to her own education, she co-founded TAN to remove complexity from international transfer and open doors to all students. Her work is driven by a belief that education should be accessible, and global education should not be reserved for those who already know how the system works.
